Careers Plan
As part of our careers initiative, we have planned a range of activities throughout the year which will enable our students to enhance their career progression and ensure they are provided with the best possible post-16 opportunities.

January 2022
- Activity: 1:1 Careers Guidance
- Gatsby Benchmark: Addressing the needs of every pupil
Outcome: 80% of Year 11 post-16 applications submitted
February 2022
- Activity: National Apprentice Week
- Gatsby Benchmark: Learning from career and learning market information
- Outcome: Raise awareness of apprenticeships and employment with training opportunities
March 2022
- Activity: Bespoke taster days with further education provision
- Gatsby Benchmark: Encounters with further and higher education
- Outcome: Ensure that pupils are making informed decisions with regards to their post-16 opportunitiesBirmingham Careers Service are providing free careers advice, help for young people with applying for apprenticeships, traineeships, colleges, CV's, helping them to move forward. They are providing the support virtually. If your between 16-19 year olds who need careers guidance please contact them. They are also supporting Year 11s at-risk of not engaging in post 16 education or employment.
